ALUMINIUM OXIDE
Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) is an inorganic chemical compound that is the most common naturally occurring substance. It is an amphoteric compound. It has its other name as alumina, alundum, and aloxide. Its natural occurrence is in a crystalline form called corundum. It is also found naturally as Ruby’s, Sapphire, and emeralds. Aluminum Oxide has extensive uses in the industry and commercial side.

It is produced by the calcination of Gibbsite. It can be obtained if the leaching of bauxite with the caustic soda, followed by the precipitation by the hydrolysis and seeding of the solution.
